New! Easier connectivity with Roger On Version 3.0

The new version makes connecting easier for users with Phonak or Hansaton hearing aids. AudioPlus now offers Roger licenses, providing direct connectivity both to a personal Roger On Mic and to permanent Roger systems in public buildings (theatres, cultural centres, universities, and similar venues).

🔹 Once the license is installed, you can connect directly to Roger receivers – a modern alternative to the traditional hearing loop.

🔹 More buildings are now being equipped with these systems – be sure to ask for them wherever you go!

What is the Roger system?

Roger is a wireless digital audio system from Phonak (Switzerland) that helps people with hearing loss hear speech clearly – even in noisy environments or from a distance. Sound is transmitted directly from the microphone to the hearing aids with no delay, no Bluetooth pairing, and crystal-clear quality.

How does it work?

The Roger system consists of three components:

Roger microphones – capture the speaker’s voice (e.g. Roger On, Roger Select).
Roger receivers – transmit the sound to the hearing aids (e.g. Roger NeckLoop, Roger Direct).
Roger BaseStation / WallPilot – fixed transmitters in the room that connect you automatically.

How is it used in practice?

For hearing aid users with Phonak, Hansaton, or other hearing aids with a built-in telecoil program:

Use Roger Direct or Roger NeckLoop.
Enter the room – you will connect automatically via WallPilot.
Enjoy clear speech without echo or background noise.

For lecturers/teachers: Wear the Roger microphone; your voice is transmitted directly to the participants’ receivers.

In public spaces: Staff can lend out receivers. Visitors switch their hearing aids to T-mode or use Roger Direct.

What is Roger On?

Roger On is a smart microphone that automatically adapts to its surroundings – perfect for meetings, social situations, and lectures. It can connect to a TV, PC, or other Roger devices, and has three modes:

Mingle (groups/noise)
Partner (one-to-one)
Table (multiple participants)

How do you obtain Roger On?

You can apply for funding and allocation of a Roger On Mic through your local municipal hearing contact or directly through NAV Assistive Technology Centre.

The audiologists at AudioPlus can help you with your Roger On license, NAV application, setup, installation, and follow-up.

The application can be completed either through an in-person consultation at one of our clinics or via telephone or Teams meeting. We will then send the application to you by email for signing and submission to the NAV Assistive Technology Centre.
