Can you get public reimbursement for audiologist services and covered hearing aids via NAV at AudioPlus?

Hearing aids through NAV or private purchase?

The AudioPlus clinics are a completely private service, and unfortunately do not have a reimbursement or requisition agreement with HELFO, RHF or NAV. Our consultations and hearing aid products are therefore not part of the normal tariff, free card system or NAV mediation, and travel costs are not covered by the public sector.

On the other hand, we can offer quick and competent help, good accessibility and good conversation.

If you wish to have hearing aids covered through NAV, your GP can refer you to a contracted specialist or a public hearing centre that has its own audiologists. Unfortunately, a waiting time of between 4-12 months is expected. The vast majority of people choose to purchase hearing aids through the NAV system, but we also have many customers who choose to purchase hearing aids and accessories privately outside the NAV system.

Private purchase may be relevant for those who want:

  • Renewal of your hearing aids before you are granted new ones according to current regulations through NAV.

  • In connection with the loss of hearing aids.

  • You do not want or are unable to stand in a long waiting line to get hearing aids from a specialist who has employed their own audiologist.

In addition, we offer a significantly better service offering for following up on your hearing and hearing aid use after the actual hearing aid fitting.

All hearing aid users are free to choose to use independent audiologists for further follow-up following hearing aid fitting, regardless of whether they have been assigned the hearing aids through NAV from an agreed specialist, a public hearing center or privately purchased from an independent audiologist.
