Ear cast of the ear canal
Before casting, we look into your ear canals with an otoscope. If the ear canals are free of or have minimal earwax, we insert pads, small protective cushions, to protect the eardrums from the casting compound.
We then carefully add the casting compound until we have filled the ear canal and large parts of the pinna. It then takes 4-5 minutes for the casting compound to harden and we can remove the cast. During the casting process, you should not talk or move your mouth and jaw much, as this can affect the casting.
We perform molds at all our clinics, and can travel to your location and perform molds for orders of 5 or more. We also offer production based on molds of your ear canals. You send these molds to us yourself when you order earplugs or IEMs via the online store.
