The sound ear is hung on the wall and will light up either green, yellow or red depending on the noise level in the room.

On the back of the earpiece, you can set the limit level for acceptable noise level to 85 dB. The Working Environment Act has 85 dB as the limit for maximum sound level for working in noise for more than 8 hours. The earpiece will therefore light up red when the sound level in the room exceeds 85 dB. When the earpiece lights up green, the sound level is acceptable.

When using the hearing aid in discos and aerobics halls, the limit level can be raised to 105 dB, which is the Working Environment Act's maximum level for impulse sounds.

The sound ear can also be used in the workplace where noise levels vary greatly, depending on the work being performed. The sound ear will be a reminder for employees when they should protect their ears with hearing protection.
