Service and maintenance of hearing aids

For hearing aids to function optimally over time, regular service and maintenance are essential. Tubes, earmolds, microphones and speakers can be affected by condensation, sweat, earwax and dust, which can lead to poorer sound quality or amplification failure.

What is included in service and maintenance?

We offer thorough cleaning, inspection and replacement of necessary components. This includes:

• Clean domes, earpieces, microphones, speakers and filters

• Replacement of tubes, domes or earplugs as needed

• Moisture removal and cleaning with special equipment

• Functional testing and sound check

If internal technical errors are discovered, we will send the hearing aids to the main supplier for repair.

The service can also be delivered as a video consultation or via home visit where appropriate.

Important information about coverage

❗ The service is not covered by Helfo or NAV, as there is currently no reimbursement scheme for private audiologists in Norway.

✅ If the appliance needs to be repaired at the main supplier, the repair cost will be covered by NAV , provided that the appliance is within the warranty period.
