Standard tube for BTE hearing aid - For a secure and good fit

Standard tubing is used between the earmold and the BTE (Behind-the-Ear) hearing aid with hook. This is an important component to ensure good sound and secure placement of the hearing aid.

🔄 Why replace the hose?

During daily use, the hose is exposed to skin contact, hair and moisture, which over time causes it to:

• Yellowed in color

• Brittle in the material

• Worse in fit

👉 A worn tube can cause the hearing aid to fit poorly, fall off, or cause the sound quality to deteriorate.

✂️ Hose fitting

• Supplied in 50 cm lengths – cut to size as needed

• Place the hearing aid over your ear, insert the earplug with the tube into your ear

• Cut the tubing so that it reaches just above the hook on the hearing aid.

• Alternatively, you can copy the length from an existing hose, if it has the right fit.

📌 Tips

• Replace the hose regularly, preferably every 2–3 months.

• Feel free to use hose pliers/hose expanders for easier installation.
